From helping distributors navigate the tides of the electric vehicle revolution with EV Detection and Service Impedance Measurement to helping customers monitor the health and efficiency of their largest appliances with Appliance Health Monitoring, improvements in algorithms and processing power have opened up exciting new frontiers in metering. In this talk we explore some of those frontiers, examine the challenges, and discuss how the next generation of smart meters addresses them.
